2-Year Service & Discipleship Programme

Two years can make a huge difference; a difference in your own life and a difference in the lives of many others.  Our 2-Year Programme offers you the chance to take a time-out from your ordinary life and live, serve and learn at one of our UK centres.

But why would you want to do that?  It could be that you take a career break, are looking for a life readjustment, or want to experience living and working as a team in a Christian environment; whatever your reasons, there may well be an opportunity for you!

The Experience

We believe that taking these two years to serve and learn can change your life!

Work and Team Life – As you work in your chosen role, you will join in fully with team-life, including morning prayer times, worship sessions, fun and games, team events and many meals together!  There will be plenty of opportunities for you to sit in on teaching and engage with our guests in your own time as well as during work.

Teaching and Personal Support – You will also be able to take part in the Explore programme free of charge.  This will both help you with your own life struggles and teach you how to be more effective in helping others.  There will be a senior team member assigned to you as your mentor who will meet with you to encourage you in your personal growth.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zones – You will be encouraged to grow in your contribution to team life and personal discipleship – sharing devotions for guests, praying in groups and meetings, stepping out of your comfort zone and trusting the Lord!

What About You?

You will be a committed Christian aged between 22-68 who longs to see God’s people healed, restored and come into the fullness of all He has for them.  We are looking for people who are hard-working, conscientious, have a teachable heart to learn and grow, enjoy people, and would jump at the challenge of team life.

You don’t need any formal qualifications to join our two-year programme but any skills, training or previous experience you can offer will support your application. For successful applicants, we will train you in the role you have been given and encourage you to grow in your skillset in the department you will be working in.

Our centres are busy places and there is never a shortage of work.  You will need plenty of energy and we appreciate a ‘can-do’ attitude and a heart that prioritises the needs of others.

The Details

Working Hours – You will work a 40 hour week on a rota basis that may include some weekends and evenings.  You will have two days off a week and receive 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays) and you will be expected to take at least ten of these per year for the centre closure over Christmas.

The Cost – We do not charge for being part of the 2-Year Programme, in fact we pay you £50 per week as a personal allowance.  Travel and associated costs (e.g. visas, NHS surcharges etc.) will be your responsibility.

Accommodation – All accommodation and meals are provided for you. You will be allocated to your own private bedroom but may need to share a bathroom.

Overseas Applicants – If you are not eligible to work in the UK and are successful in your application, we will provide you with information on applying for a visa.

Locations – All three of our UK centres offer spaces on the programme as needs arise.
