The Associate Ministry Team are vital to the work of Ellel Ministries. They are ordinary people with extraordinary hearts who pray with guests when needed at one of our events.

They do not receive remuneration and give generously of their time to minister alongside our team. Their objective is to bring a balance of God’s truth, His power and His love into the lives of those receiving help.

All Associate Ministry Team are carefully trained and evaluated by Ellel Ministries over a period of time prior to being released to minister under the supervision of the relevant centre Ministry Manager and Centre Director. They continue to be assessed as they grow and develop in experience and wisdom.

Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.

Joining the Ministry Team

We do not require formal qualifications to join our Associate Ministry Team but there are some foundational requirements for every Ministry Team member:

A born-again Christian person who knows the empowering of the Holy Spirit and who is mature in their faith and relationship with God.

A person who has demonstrated commitment to a local church fellowship, and who is actively involved as a member, but who is also capable of being denominationally neutral in their approach to other people.

A person who has a sense of God’s leading and equipping to serve others in bringing God’s love and healing through prayer ministry.

Committed to Biblical truth as the basis for all ministry.

A person who is teachable in heart and open to God’s continued work in their own life and are aware of their own personal need of God – we are not looking for “perfect” people.

A person who is able to work as a team and submit to authority. They are able to receive ongoing correction, guidance and instruction from the Leaders when required.

Additionally, prior to joining the Ministry Team you will have to complete one of the following Ellel Ministries training programmes:

  • Explore A, B and +
  • Flagship Programme
  • NETS (minimum Stages 1 and 2)
  • Impact (although more training may be required)

Please Note: Fulfilling these requirements does not automatically qualify you as a member of the ministry team.

Joining the Ministry Team is an application-based process and will involve us taking suitable references and an interview. Initially, you will join as a trainee, which will include both formal teaching and practical opportunities for training, usually on Healing Retreats under the supervision of trained Ministry Team.

Time Commitment

It is expected that active Ministry Team members would attend a minimum of three ministry events and at least one of the organised Ministry Team Training Days at the Centre where they serve, each year, to maintain their active membership of the Prayer Ministry Team.

You will be asked well in advance what events you can commit to and these dates will be confirmed with you.

Further Training and Development

As a member of the Ministry Team, you never stop learning as every person you encounter is different. There are formal Ministry Team Training Days that you will be invited to join and we strongly recommend you attend whenever you can.

We also encourage your attendance on other training courses to strengthen your understanding of particular issues. As a member of the Associate Ministry Team you will qualify for a discount of many of our courses as well as resources at our bookshops.

The Ministry Manager at the centre is responsible for evaluating you and ensuring that you grow and develop in your skills as a member of the Ministry Team. As you grow in experience, you may be released to lead a ministry time, oversee trainees or you may wish to consider training to teach on our events. Keeping honest dialogue with your Ministry Management is the key to growing in your role with the ministry.
