Spiritual Roles

As a part of our team you will participate in daily team prayer and worship meetings, have opportunities to grow in your Christian faith through regular attendance on teaching courses and receive prayer ministry for your own personal development. Other opportunities may include welcoming and/or hosting guests to the centre; training in prayer ministry and opportunities to share short devotional messages with the team and/or guests on events; opportunities for teaching and/or group leading during events with guests.

Ellel Ministries’ foundational scripture is Luke 9:11, where Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those who needed healing. The ‘welcome’ aspect of what we do is therefore very important to us here at Glyndley Manor as it is a way to share God’s love to those who come through our doors. All of our team do a variety of jobs but each has the satisfaction of knowing they are part of a bigger picture enabling God’s heart to reach those who are hurting and need His touch.

Given our ethos as a Christian community, applicants are required to be Christians and have a heart for the healing ministry. Participation in our Christian community and performance of religious devotional duties is an essential aspect of this role.

Practical Roles

We are looking for a mature Christian to join our living in community as a chef who will cook a variety of good quality dishes for numbers of around 50-60 people (some occasions up 100), and to ensure the quality is of a good standard. The applicant must also hold a current certificate of food hygiene, be able to maintain a clean hygienic kitchen and must be able to make menus and put the food ordering for the kitchen work. The applicant will need to be working flexible hours, five days a week including weekends. The applicant will need to teach and work alongside our current Gap year – Undivided Young Peoples team.

The applicant will have a daily and direct contact with the team from a range of backgrounds so good interpersonal skills are essential, as is a heart for the Christian healing ministry.

We are looking for enthusiastic people who are physically fit, enjoy working in a team, and who are keen to serve the Lord in the very rewarding area of welcome and warm hospitality.

The role is full-time and is a live-in position with full board accommodation (private bedroom and shared kitchen, bathrooms and living areas) along with an appropriate allowance to cover personal expenses.
