We are looking for a mature Christian to join our community, coupling the performance of religious duties with a non pastoral role overseeing the Maintenance Team for Ellel Scotland.
Ellel Scotland, Aberdeenshire
Applications deadline: Friday 29th November 2024 29 Nov 24
Residential
Given our ethos as a Christian community, applicants are required to be Christians and have a heart for the healing ministry. Participation in our Christian community and performance of religious devotional duties are an essential aspect of this role and include daily team prayer and worship meetings.
As part of our Two-Year Discipleship Programme, you will have an opportunity to grow in your Christian faith through self-study of our main teaching programme “Explore” and to receive prayer ministry.
Other opportunities may include welcoming and/or hosting guests to the centre, training in prayer ministry, sharing short devotional messages with guests on events, teaching and/or group leading during events.
Ellel Ministries Scotland is based at Blairmore House, which is situated on a beautiful rural estate comprising a walled garden, several lawns and mature woodlands. The house itself was built in the 19th century and has since been renovated. More modern buildings have been added when it was a private school.
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will carry the responsibility for the maintenance, upkeep and improvement of Blairmore House. Much of your work will involve overseeing the planning of working projects, sourcing materials, liaising with contractors and other associated administration. However, the work will also involve hands-on tasks maintaining this beautiful building.
The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded experience of various maintenance jobs and will be able to work alone and on their own initiative. You will also have proven administrative abilities as well as a good knowledge of using Microsoft Office.
As part of a close-knit team, you will fill an invaluable role in fulfilling the vision for the ministry as outlined in Luke 9:11 where Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the kingdom of God and healed those who needed healing.
The role is a full-time, live-in position on a two year fixed term contract as part of our Service and Discipleship programme. It comes with full board accommodation (private bedroom and shared kitchen, bathroom and living areas) along with an appropriate allowance to cover personal expenses. The role will include evening, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.
