Ministering During War

It has been over four years since the major incursion of Russia into Ukraine and the war continues today. It is not just Ukraine that has been affected and we continue to work in Belarus, Russia, and Latvia who are also affected by the ongoing war. The Russian speaking Zoom teaching are reaching Russian speakers all over, including Israel and those displaced because of the war.

In Western Ukraine, Nina Writes:

Praise God for new opportunities for Ellel in Ukraine to share the knowledge and experience God gave us. Our advanced course ‘Healing from PTSD’ is on great demand in the Body of Christ.

Recently we’ve been invited to teach the course for the group of hospital and army chaplains in the Christian Academy in Kiev. It’s a great joy to hear fantastic testimonies from those who completed the course before and use the spiritual tools in their service to the war victims – healing from the consequences of brain contusion and phantom pains, freedom from panic attacks and claustrophobia, restoration for mental disorders etc. God is Almighty and merciful to the suffering! It’s a privilege for our team to be a part of His wonderful work.

Southern Ukraine, Kherson

Anna continues to live and minister in Kherson, a Ukrainian city that is a frontline city (Russian army is just 7 km from her house that makes her street part of a red zone).  The government recently evacuated all children from her district due to the increasing shelling and use of drones and guided aerial bombs, one of which damaged the roof of Anna’s home.  Life is very challenging, with heating, internet, electricity and medical care not being readily accessible. The residents live with a constant threat of Russian drones which target civilian buses, shops, cars and homes.

Anna continues to bring Ukrainian and Russian speakers from many nations together in weekly Zoom prayer meetings, and for Explore courses in Hungary. She travels widely through Ukraine and other Russian speaking nations, supporting Ellel works through the tumultuous area, sharing the Gospel of unity, restoration and reconciliation.  Recently, Anna travelled to Armenia with two other members of her team to attend a prayer initiative aimed at healing and restoration for both Ukrainian and Russian believers.  Her travel is complex, long and risky – on her recent trip they had to be evacuated from the train twice due to a missile threat.

Despite the dangers, Anna is seeing God work in incredible ways with hearts turning to God and finding hope, healing, freedom and stability in most unstable place and time.

Please continue to pray for all those who work in these difficult and dangerous conditions.
