The Lord has called Ellel Ministries to use buildings that are both practical and beautiful, to provide the right environment where people can confidentially and safely receive help and also training. Our centres are expensive to maintain and develop, so we must share some practical funding needs that facilitate our vision. Thank you for your support!
Donations to our general funds are of most flexible value as we continue to offer personal ministry without charge and subsidised training. However, you can also support more specific needs at the centre in the following ways:
Please select which category of project you would like your donation to be used for. If you would like your gift to go to something specific please email us at finance.scotland@ellel.org to let us know how you would like your donation to be used.
Including Ellel Scotland in your will is easier than you might think, and it can have a significant impact on the future and fruitfulness of the ministry.
Legacy GivingLike any household, emergencies and unexpected breakages and bills happen. Which is why we are so grateful if you are able to help us deal with some of these immediate needs of our work. There is almost always an urgent need, whether it’s a broken down dishwasher, an expensive but leaking roof repair or repairs to vehicles.
Giving towards the “Urgent Needs” fund will allow us to put your donation towards the most urgent project, see some examples below.
As we are still desperately seeking a handyman / maintenance manager many of the smaller more regular maintenance task have gone unattended to, a local Christian joiner have offered his services at a good rate and so we would like to encage him for two weeks to fix and repair various small tasks. Such as minor bits of decorating, replacing light fitting, repairing door frames, replacing window glass and rodent proofing some areas etc…
Any excess funds raised will be put toward other urgent needs as they arise. These funds will not be used for everyday bills.
Due to the height and inaccessibility of many of the gutters and sloped roof areas we require specialist contractors to clear gutters and down pipes and repair slates and cement work all around the main house roof. This preventative work is required to prevent leaks and keep the building in good order.
Any excess funds raised will be put toward other urgent needs as they arise. These funds will not be used for everyday bills.
Maintenance of our properties is a huge challenge, especially when the buildings have a historic listed status. We are increasingly mindful of how the passage of time brings wear and tear to the interior and exterior of our buildings. Rain is a perpetual erosion agent and window frames, guttering, roofs and exposed walls are constantly in need of vital, yet often hugely expensive repairs. Your gift means we can keep our buildings healthy, safe and fit for purpose.
Giving towards the “Maintenance Projects” fund will allow us to put your donation towards the most urgent Maintenance Projects, see some examples below.
THANK YOU FOR ALL THOSE WHO DONATED
THIS WORK IS NOW IN PROGRESS
We urgently need to replace the flat roof over two of our lovely premium bedrooms and reception area. Many of the sky lights are perished and are barely watertight. However, the original felt covering have now come to the end of its useful life and are letting water in at various places causing damage to ceilings and carpets. It requires replacing by professional roofers to access the area scaffolding need to be erected and so we urgently need your support.
Giving specifically towards the “Roof Appeal” fund will allow us to restrict your donation towards the Roof Repairs and it will not be used in any other project, unless we contact you first.
God never stands still in His vision for His church and His people, and He often calls us into places of faith for things that glorify His name. The work of Ellel never stands still and we find ourselves constantly challenged with what the Lord seeks to do, as He grows His Kingdom influence where it’s allowed to flourish. We therefore would like to share with you these other major projects that we believe the Lord has asked us to accomplish, yet are financially unviable for us without major donation support. Would you stand with us, whether in prayer or finance, to help us accomplish what we believe will reap great spiritual fruit in the lives of many.
We desperately require additional accommodation at Blairmore. There is an increasing demand for single room accommodation which we currently don’t have and would like to create. We also currently have several staff members who are living in guest accommodation and as such reducing our maximum capacity on many of our events, we would like to create dedicated staff accommodation to release as many guest rooms as possible to maximise our guest capacity.
Please pray with us as we work with developers to design a new long-term solution.
More details will be posted here as we progress though these initial stages.
We are deeply grateful for donations large and small, yet we know who our ultimate provider is: our Lord Jesus Christ, Jehovah Jireh. For those of you with a heart to pray for the lost, broken and needy in this world, who have a passion for the lost sheep and desires the Church be united through wholeness and healing – then we covet your prayers for our ministry into the church and the world. Your prayers, supplications and intercessions undergird everything we do. This page displays all our practical prayer needs, where prayer for finances is needed to cover all our ongoing costs to maintain the ministry God has called us to. Yet, our need and purpose for prayer goes much further than just our practical and financial need. If you would like to be deeper involved in the prayer life of Ellel Scotland, please visit our “Pray” page, which gives dates for our regular prayer support meetings.
