Volunteers Week

Each year we set a week aside to focus on working in the grounds and woodlands at Blairmore to ensure its upkeep. We invite you to join us for this week as part of our extended family, working alongside our full-time team to have some fun whilst working together. A change is as good as a rest, some say… and this may be a change that you could benefit from, as well as offering practical support the work of Ellel Scotland.

Each year we set a week aside to focus on working in the grounds and woodlands at Blairmore to help ensure its upkeep. We invite you to join us for this week as part of our extended family, working alongside our full-time team and having some fun and fellowship in the process.

You don’t need any particular skills – just a good level of physical fitness and a willingness to work as part of a team. There will be a variety of work to do so any skills you can bring would be greatly appreciated!

Each day will begin with a time of worship, prayer and an inspirational devotion and the working day will run from 10am – 4pm with breaks in between. The evenings are free for you to relax and unwind with your co-workers.

The week’s main focus is on working in the grounds and on the estate. Jobs may include:

• Gathering sticks and breaking up fallen tree branches
• Raking leaves
• Strimming
• Weeding
• Planting
• Pruning
• … and more!
