About the Course

Welcome to Ellel Scotland’s week-long edition of Explore. This event includes courses A7-A10. Continuing with the journey of healing and discipleship, this event moves the teaching onto deeper understanding of the healing needs of people and how our relationship with God sits at the centre of His work in our lives.

This begins with a look at the human spirit, where we can see how our identity, creativity and sexuality are precious gifts from God and how He can restore the fragile places within. We then look at how relationships are key to our lives and the joy God intended them to bring. We finish the teaching with a look at God’s heart to see us free from fear and anxiety through His healing of our inner false beliefs and insecurities. Explore A then finishes with a practical healing workshop.

A Week of Explore

Only our centre in Scotland offers Explore courses over a week-long event, fitting three Explore courses in a week. Our other UK centres offers individual Explore courses over the convenience of shorter weekends.

Restoring the Human Spirit

Some things in life impact us deeper than others. In fact, sometimes the things we go through can have such a profound impact on our human spirit that they shape the way we live, behave and relate to others, including God.

This course is designed to explore the function and purpose of our human spirit which brings revelation that opens doors to healing opportunities never explored before.

Based on biblical examples, we will look at how our human spirits can be damaged in various ways. It will also challenge our responses to this damage that can cause us ongoing hurt, pain and life struggles, often leaving us with a sense of constant inner distress and overwhelm.

Looking at how our human spirit encompasses our God-given identity, our creativity and the place of connection with God, this is a vital topic that can radically change how you approach dealing with the issues you face in life.

With this shift of understanding, Jesus can enter into the very core and deep places of our hearts to outpour his healing, bringing true and lasting transformation of our lives.

Navigating Difficult Relationships

When God made us in His image, He set relationships at the heart of life. We are created to live in dynamic relationship with both God and with one another.

If we want to find joy and freedom in healthy relationships then we need to explore how our experiences of former relationships can forge views, expectations and behaviour patterns that limit how we connect with God as well as with others.

The teaching will explain how we are connected with each other through relationship and how this connection is designed by God to be a blessing. But they can become toxic through difficult or traumatic experiences – leading to an ungodly entanglement with those we have had wrong relationships with.

During the course we’ll consider how God can bring healing to the pain caused by difficult relationships and guidance on how to be free from the consequences of wrong relationships in the past.

Overcoming Fear and Anxiety

Fear and anxiety are becoming more prevalent in the world today and can be regular but crippling companions along our life journey.

This course seeks to untangle this complex issue, investigating the roots of fear and anxiety as well as looking at how human solutions are less than perfect and can even be unhelpful. It also looks at how we can develop a misconception of how God views us in our struggles and, instead of finding the Lord in our place of need, we find our own ways of coping and controlling our lives to avoid the discomfort and weakness of fear.

This course will share how the Lord longs to show us the freedom that is in Him when we can learn to fully trust Him with the worries of our heart, bringing us to a place of knowing the truth of who He is – our strong shelter, our safe tower, the anchor for our hearts.

Healing Workshop

Exploring Ministry Practice

Explore A concludes with a practical workshop where guests have an opportunity to both give and receive ministry from others on Explore.

This is an exciting end to Explore A and is a time when many discover how God can use them in praying for others. We have received many testimonies of healing during these workshops and also great encouragement for those wanting to grow in helping others in this way.

Please note that members of our ministry team will be alongside in the groups to give guidance and help and to attend the Healing Workshop you must have completed 6 or more of the individual Explore A courses (each Explore week contains 3 Explore courses).

Protecting our guests and helping everyone feel at ease

In the current world situation with Covid-19 it is our responsibility and heart to keep all our guests and team safe.

We agreed as a UK Leadership that we would follow the Government guidelines for each country and bring changes to procedures in-line with their advice and guidance. Below you will find the procedures we have in place in accordance with the new guidelines issued this summer.

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members is always at the forefront of our minds. We are confident in the operating procedures we have in place, but we are more confident in the faithful God that we all serve. Nothing can replace the importance of prayer and trust. He is the One we look to be our guide and our shield throughout these days!

Be assured – all our teams are working hard to keep you safe, but we are also praying hard! We love nothing more than hearing how welcome and “at home” our guests feel, and we cannot wait to welcome you back. Our prayer is that you feel just as ease and able to relax and enjoy the Lord’s presence as ever.

With many blessings

What to Expect

When Jesus spoke, it touched all generations, all personalities and all cultures. It is the same today! The teaching on our courses is primarily grounded in biblical truth and also includes lessons learned from ministering to people over many years.

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12, ESV

The teachers on our events have all experienced God’s healing in their lives and are walking their own journey of daily transformation with the Lord. It is out of that journey that they are passionate to share the same life-changing truths with you! With a breadth of different backgrounds and teaching styles, our teachers bring deep ministry experience coupled with strong biblical foundations to deliver a clear journey of learning. They will encourage you to find Christ’s healing, freedom and passion and share with those whom God calls you to minister.

To find out more about our beliefs please check out our About Us page.

I was able to forgive these people and myself before seeking the Lord's deliverance.
