We are looking for a mature Christian to join our resident live in community, coupling the performance of religious duties as the Undivided Team Pastor specifically for our ‘Undivided’ Gap Year Programme for 18-25-year old’s with a non-pastoral role, as the Courses Co-ordinator and a member of our Leadership support team who gives spiritual support to the Centre Leadership.

As part of our team you will participate in daily team prayer and worship meetings, have opportunities to grow in your Christian faith through regular attendance on teaching courses and receive prayer ministry for your own personal development. Other activities will include organising and welcoming guests to the centre; training teachers and hosts, leading devotional times of prayer and worship with the team and guests on events. The successful candidate will also be expecting to take on teaching and leadership of group work with guests during our scheduled courses and other events.
As followers of Jesus who are called to join in this vital ministry, we are looking for a mature Christian with life experience who is able to lead by personal example in all aspects of our calling. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our Undivided Gap Year Programme as well as taking the lead in the spiritual growth and development of those participating in it. The successful candidate will be required to lead regular times of praise and worship, prayer, and bible study and be able to facilitate spiritual growth in others. Ideally you will also have undertaken our Explore series or other equivalent training in order to undertake teaching and personal prayer ministry appointments which are a key part of the role, and to play a part in developing the discipleship material for the programme. You should be comfortable with teaching biblical truth and applying it in daily life. You must also have previous experience of serving as part of an Ellel Ministries team in order to fully understand the unique challenges of living and serving in a Christian community. As part of your own missionary service you will also be involved with and oversee other organisational aspects of our work.
Good interpersonal skills are essential as the successful applicant will be in daily contact with team members who come from a range of backgrounds, cultures and countries.
Given our ethos as a Christian community, applicants are required to be Christians and must have a heart for the healing ministry. Participation in our community and performance of religious devotional duties is an essential to the success of this role and therefore we will expect to see evidence of suitably recognised evangelical Christian training and discipleship to enable the leadership aspects of the work.
The nature of these roles is full-time and will include regular weekend and evening working to support the wider team and of necessity are offered as live-in positions, offering full board and accommodation along with an allowance to cover personal expenses.
