30 Aug - 4 Sep 2021
Monday - Saturday
Welcome to Ellel Scotland’s week-long edition of Explore. This event includes courses A1-A3. Vital teaching will be shared which both lays a foundation for the rest of the Explore journey but also gives understanding about key areas related to healing and discipleship.
The three courses included in this event cover the foundations of our faith, our need for healing and God’s heart to restore. We will also look deeply at what it means to truly know God rather than just knowing about Him. And finally, the profound area of forgiveness will be looked at and how this can bring radical transformation to our lives.
Only our centre in Scotland offers Explore courses over a week-long event, fitting three Explore courses in a week. Our other UK centres offers individual Explore courses over the convenience of shorter weekends.
This course is part of our exciting Explore programme. You can join any Explore course individually, but to receive the full experience we recommend you register for the entire series of this life-transforming programme.
EXPLORE IS FOR ANYONE WHO…
…desires a deeper, closer and more meaningful relationship with God
…knows there are issues in their life which are holding them back
…wants to understand God’s plan for their own life so they can walk in it
…wants to grow in their understanding of healing so that they can help others
Ellel Scotland’s week-long Explore event includes the teaching from the following three courses:
Exploring God’s Foundations for Life
All of us are born with questions about life and eternity etched deep in our hearts. We have a God-given need to find out why we are here on earth and what life is meant to be all about. In today’s fast-changing world, full of confusing voices, this need for solid truth to build our lives on is even more necessary than ever.
This course answers life’s foundational questions from a solid biblical perspective – perhaps in a way that you have never heard God’s story explained before. We will look at the sweep of history from the early days in Genesis until the Lord’s return in Revelation. You will understand better where we come from, how humankind got to be in this mess and perhaps most importantly, you will understand more of God’s amazing rescue plan for humankind.
Not only has God saved you, He also wants to heal you and set you on the right course to fulfil His destiny purpose for our lives! The Big Picture will help you lay hold of God’s plan for your life and we trust it will be a catalyst for you to start being released with ‘strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow!’
The following topics will be covered:
Exploring the Character and Nature of God
For many of us there can be a level of disconnect between knowing about God and truly knowing God in our hearts. We read the scriptures and see that God wants us to know Him but we are not sure how to enter into that deeper place of relationship and intimacy.
This course explores the depth of God’s true character and nature, bringing understanding to the fulness of who He really is; the majestically awesome King and so very personal at the same time. Looking through the full sweep of the Bible, it aims to expose any distorted views of God we may hold and deal with the blockages that get in the way of experiencing the deep and intimate relationship our Heavenly Father yearns to have with each one of us.
Through coming to know more of God, the victory through Christ and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, you can experience God in a new way: deeper, more personal, unshakable and eternal.
The following topics will be covered:
Exploring the Power of Forgiveness
When Jesus spoke from the Cross, “Father forgive them”, He released to humankind an immensely powerful key for restoration from the bondage of pain from the past. For true freedom we need not only to receive God’s forgiveness for our own sinful actions, but we need to extend forgiveness to all those who have hurt us, however difficult this may be.
Unlocking this pivotal Kingdom principle, this course we will explore the damage caused when there is unforgiveness, judgement and bitterness in our hearts and how to face the many challenges of applying this key to the painful areas of our lives. Breaking the subject down into four main principles and looking at each one will highlight just how central a topic this is to our wellbeing, not just spiritually, but how it can also affect us emotionally and even physically.
Throughout the course there will be personal times with God for Him to bring conviction, healing and restoration from the damage that unforgiveness can inflict upon you, unlocking a pathway to true and sustained healing.
The following topics will be covered:
I opened up my heart, the Lord came and ministered healing to me. This was just the beginning as the Holy Spirit continued to bring comfort and to release me from that deep inner pain that I had lived with for so long, and in that I also received my healing physically.
Very solid teaching, Bible-based, well formulated, shared in a way that builds faith.
