Being a man of God yet a man in the world can be extremely conflicting. Navigating life can be fraught with pressures, stumbling blocks and uncertainties which can make it seem impossible to succeed as a man after God’s heart.
This practical and challenging course considers the true meaning of manhood as God intended it to be and what you are created for. It will explore common areas of difficulty men fall into, looking at how the past has contributed to creating wrong pathways for your present and future, maybe leaving you with a sense of failure and you are ‘just not good enough’.
Looking at your God-given identity, with your unique gifts and qualities, it seeks to strengthen your relationship with God and your view of yourself in order to enable you to be able to withstand the pressures, temptations and expectations the world throws at you.
Registration begins from 4.30pm on Friday afternoon with an evening meal at 6pm.
The weekend finishes after lunch at 1pm on Sunday.
On arrival you will be welcomed by our reception team! If you are staying overnight, you will be shown to your accommodation, given details about the event such as mealtimes or where the teaching sessions take place. Our team and event hosts will be around if you have any further questions after arriving, and to help you feel at home during your time on the event.
Yes, there will be free time! How much free time you get depends on the length of the event, but there will always be opportunity for you to take a walk in the beautiful grounds, to chat with other guests, or take some time to yourself. For longer events, there will be free days where you can explore the local area, or rest.
This is a totally understandable question! A majority of guests on our events come on their own, and don’t know anyone else, so you won’t be the only one! Occasionally, some of the guests may come together, but it doesn’t take long for people to start chatting over mealtimes or coffee breaks and get to know each other.
If the event you are on offers time for prayer ministry, then you will have the option to have time with our trained ministry team. This in an opportunity for you to share what you would like prayer for. Prayer ministry is always confidential, caring, and considerate. For further information on how we minister see our Best Ministry Practice.
I have learnt that Jesus doesn't live in a religious box but lives in complete freedom and invites me to live with Him with real joy and adventure. I'm experiencing more and more of what it means to know the truth and this truth setting me free.
The course includes 8 teaching sessions with prayer ministry available during approximately half of those.
The following topics will be covered during the teaching sessions:
