We live in a culture that insists we keep up with trends, put ourselves first, and pushes us to fit in with the rest of the world with our beliefs, views, and stances. What if, instead, for one year you could step into an environment that would challenge you to live like Jesus, surrounded by other Christians who also want to pursue God first?
This is where Undivided comes in!
It doesn’t matter if you are taking a career break, having time out after uni, or want a gap-year after school – it’s a free gap year programme for 18-25 years olds who want a life set apart for Jesus!

Starting every September each year, Undivided offers one of the most amazing free discipleship year experiences available in the UK.
My desire is to dedicate a year of service to God by serving others. Doing this in a different environment and learning about new cultures is a definite plus. I look forward to hearing more from God and growing in our friendship
The majority of your working week will be spent serving on our team alongside an amazing group of like-minded Christians. This will mostly involve helping the house team create a welcoming environment for our guests (cleaning, washing up, serving drinks, cleaning rooms, welcoming guests etc.).
There will also be opportunities throughout the year to serve in other areas of the work which all contribute towards the overall vision of the ministry. This might include the kitchen, sound desk, grounds and maintenance, reception, office work and marketing.

We believe this is one of the areas that sets apart Undivided from other discipleship programs. You will receive personal prayer ministry and mentoring to help you not just grow in your relationship with Jesus, but heal from things that you feel might be holding you back in life.
Team Meetings
Every morning the team meet for devotions, to pray, share scriptures and worship together. It is an essential part of our life together as a Christian community. We regularly set aside other times of prayer, which you will be involved in, that further strengthens your relationship with God.
Personal Bible Study and Prayer
We will be encouraging you to do your own personal bible study and prayer each day. This is a great opportunity to journal your time on Undivided, and see your relationship with God grow in the process.
Attend other Ellel Courses
During your time off you are free to listen to a wide variety of Christian teaching topics on other Ellel training courses. We also have a vast library of archived audio teaching that you will have access to.
The vision of Ellel Ministries is based on Luke 9:11 which says, “Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the Kingdom of God and healed those in need”. As part of Undivided, you will be a vital part of fulfilling this vision at one of our UK centres and we will be encouraging you to step out in ministry. These unique opportunities will be available…
Ministering on Events
You will have an opportunity to be part of our Prayer Ministry Team on a range of different Ellel events alongside experienced members of our Team.
Team Devotionals
You will be encouraged to lead some of the team devotional times – sharing a message God puts on your heart.
Devotionals with Guests
For those who would like to, you will be given the chance to share a short devotional for the guests who come to our centres on a Healing Retreat. This will be a 5-minute talk focused on a specific scripture that you will pick. You will then pray for the guests and hand over for worship.
Personal Prayer and Mentoring
You will be allocated a mentor from within our full-time team. They will meet with you at least once a fortnight to encourage you in your personal walk with the Lord. You will have an opportunity to spend some time with our prayer ministry team to talk and pray through things that you might want to pray about.
Find out what it’s like to journey alongside other young adults who are passionately, chasing after God like you! You will build meaningful friendships that last much longer than just the year of Undivided. You’ll experience what it’s like to be a part of serving in God’s Kingdom, with people of different ages, cultures and life experiences, but with the same goal…following after Jesus!
Those on Undivided will have time set aside to receive from the teaching of our popular Explore series, which for many has been life-changing. This will include some teaching from Ellel leaders and also time for personal study and reflection. It will share our foundational teachings related to healing and discipleship and will look at topics like forgiveness, rejection, deliverance, inner healing, fear and anxiety, relationships and much more. Explore will broaden your spiritual horizons and help you in your own personal journey. It will also equip you with keys for praying for others.
*Explore for Undivided may be presented in a different format to our regular Explore courses, but includes the same teaching content. There will be some variations on how the course is presented between each of our centres.

Undivided starts each year at the beginning of September and runs for a year.
The programme itself costs you nothing! All meals, and accommodation are provided for you.
*This does not include travel costs.* You will need to raise the cost of your travel to and from the centre including the full cost of any visa or other travel documents you require. (Typically, this can cost anywhere between £1,000 and £2,000).

You will receive an allowance of £30 each week to cover your personal expenses.
Undivided is currently held at each of our fantastic centre locations: Ellel Grange (Lancashire, in the north-west of England), Ellel Glyndley Manor (West Sussex, on the south coast of England), and Ellel Scotland (nestled in the beautiful highlands of Scotland). Glyndley Manor is located near Eastbourne on the stunning south coast of England. As well as running Explore and many other courses, Glyndley is also the home to Transform, Ellel’s longest retreat-style event that runs for 20-days.
