God’s Covering

A Place of Healing

God wants the very best for us, a place of safety in Him. God’s covering is an expression which describes the spiritual protection and nurture which God provides for all those who are in a covenant relationship with Him. You cannot see His covering but you can certainly experience the effect which it has. Without Jesus, the world cannot truly understand God’s covering but all of mankind desperately needs it! Outside this shelter, men and women are vulnerable to a hostile spiritual realm which governs this world and all those who remain in rebellion to the One who created them.

I was able to better understand much of my emotional pain in light of God’s plan for man’s covering and protection in reading this book. I have been involved in healing ministry for some time and have aquired already a lot of very helpful teaching, but this book somehow supplied a missing piece of the puzzle for me. This particular aspect of healing was delivered with much clarity, simplicity and depth that was missing in other sources that I’ve read. Its helped me very much. I’m ready to read it again making more notes and prayerfully applying the information.

David Cross looks at the protection we should have had at various stages in our lives, shows how the lack can affect us, and offers a solution.

As I read through this book, God’s Covering, I experienced for myself God’s healing as I took before Him in prayer the times in my life where I had been spiritually “uncovered”. The new sense of greater security and peace have changed much in the way I now view everyday life.

I recommend this book to every follower of Jesus Christ, and to those who want to understand more about our relationship with our Creator.

Well written, good biblical advice on how to overcome spiritual, emotional and sometimes physical problems we not only cause but inherit from our ancestors. Stop blaming others for our problems and shortcomings since prayers to get answers and healing are included in this book.

You can carry a lot of guilt and shame feel unable to release it.

This book shows you how you can overcome all this and enjoy God’s peace every day.

    It’s such a comforting book.

A great book, written in a clear, interesting and concise way. David Cross writes excellently in this book, which has helped me understand more about living closely with God. I can heartily recommend it and already have been able to use it to help along others! It will definitely not disappoint.

I really like this book. You don’t often read about this topic- how to be protected spiritually. Why is it that some people have accidents or problems all the time, while others don’t? Some families are like that too – one problem or disaster after another. This book gives Biblical insights into why some of us can get a lot more attacks than others, and most importantly, what we can do about it.
It’s very sound and Biblical. Not wacky. Obviously we will all have trouble in life, it doesn’t claim that you won’t or anything like that. It just explores an important issue sensitively and helpfully.
I like the fact that it’s practical, with suggested prayers at the back, so you can do something about it and start to live life that resembles Psalm 91 a bit more – “he who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”. In more security, with less anxiety and fewer things going wrong.
There should be more books like this.

David Cross is a member of the Elders Fellowship of Ellel Ministries having served on the Executive Leadership for many years. He graduated from Nottingham University in 1969 and qualified as a chartered civil engineer, leading to a varied working career, which included building roads and bridges in the Highlands of Scotland and, in the early 1980’s, overseeing the construction of new town development in the New Territories area of Hong Kong. It was here that a huge personal change of direction occurred when he gave his life to Jesus. Returning to Scotland, David became very active in church life and in leading ski tours in the Cairngorm Mountains. In order to further the Christian healing ministry in the Highlands, as an elder in the Church of Scotland, he and others in the local church made contact with Ellel Ministries in 1991, and two years later David and his wife Denise joined the Ministry at the international headquarters of Ellel Grange, near Lancaster. David and Denise have three children and eight grandchildren, all giving much joy in the midst of very busy lives. Besides the thrill of sharing God’s truth through teaching and writing, David loves walking and photography. His authoritative explanation of God’s word has brought understanding and healing to many who have been confused and damaged by the ungodly ideologies of today’s world. David has written eight books: Soul-Ties, The Unseen Bond in Relationships; God’s Covering, A Place of Healing; Trapped by Control, How to Find Freedom; The Dangers of Alternative Ways of Healing, How to Avoid New Age Deceptions (with John Berry); A-Z Guide to the Healing Ministry; What’s Wrong with Human Rights?
