Joyce Huggett

Joyce Huggett graduated with a degree in history and theology from Southampton University and has spent more than forty years practically engaged in missions work around the world. She has written a number of books about the Christian life. Her first book was published in 1980, and was followed in 1986 by the award-winning Listening to God. This led her to establish a retreat centre where she could teach believers on the subject of finding God’s guidance for their lives, and it also led her to write more extensively in the area of spiritual direction. In 1993 Joyce and her husband, David, became mission partners with Interserve and went to live in Cyprus to set up similar retreat facilities for missionaries. They then travelled extensively, leading retreats and providing pastoral care for missionaries throughout the Middle East and other countries in the 10–40 Window. In 1998 Joyce and David returned to England to continue running retreats for mission partners.
