Part of Ellel's 2-year Service and Discipleship Programme

CHRISTIAN INVOLVEMENT

Given our ethos as a Christian community, applicants are required to be Christians and have a heart for the healing ministry. Participation in our Christian community and performance of religious devotional duties are an essential aspect of this role and include daily team prayer and worship meetings.

As part of our Two-Year Discipleship Programme, you will have an opportunity to grow in your Christian faith through self-study of our main teaching programme “Explore” and to receive prayer ministry.

Other opportunities may include training in prayer ministry, sharing short devotional messages with guests on events, teaching and/or group leading during events.

PRACTICAL ROLES

You will be responsible for undertaking the whole bookings procedure from first enquiry to welcoming the guest through the door on their arrival.  Additionally, you will be responsible for the effective handling of all guest, telephone and email enquiries as well as making sales in the bookshop area.

Often the first voice heard and face seen, the successful candidate will have exceptional administrational and interpersonal skills, be of pleasant disposition with an interest in people, and an excellent command of the English language.  The role requires good I.T. skills (using Microsoft software and our own database systems), the ability to manage your own workload and effectively handle many and varied interruptions.

As part of a close-knit team you will fill an invaluable role in fulfilling the vision for the ministry as outlined in Luke 9:11 where Jesus welcomed the people, taught them about the kingdom of God and healed those who needed healing. In view of the “welcome” aspect of the vision, previous experience of working within a similar Ministry is desirable.

The role is currently part-time and, as such, the successful applicant will be required to undertake additional administrative and other duties on a weekly basis as part of the hospitality team to make up full time working hours.

This is a live-in position on a two year fixed term contract as part of our Service and Discipleship programme. It comes with full board accommodation (private bedroom and shared kitchen, bathroom and living areas) along with an appropriate allowance to cover personal expenses. The role will include evening, weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.
