Applications deadline: 12 Feb 22

Residential

We are looking for a mature Christian to join our community, coupling the performance of religious duties with a non pastoral role as Personnel Assistant principally supporting the Corporate Personnel Co-ordinator and the wider team at Ellel Grange.

The Day-to-Day Practical Roles

As Personnel Assistant you will be primarily responsible for administering the recruitment and induction processes for the Undivided Gap Year Programme within the UK as well as aspects of wider team recruitment. In addition, you will support the Corporate Personnel Co-ordinator in the processing of visas, right to work documentation, confidential record keeping and other tasks according to ability.

Given our ethos as a Christian community, applicants are required to be Christians and have a heart for the healing ministry. Participation in our Christian community and performance of religious devotional duties is an essential aspect of this role. Previous experience of living in a Christian Community environment is therefore highly desirable.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, be administratively strong, sensitive, flexible and able to work in a multi-cultural setting. Good communication skills are important along with excellent people skills.

The Christian and Spiritual Aspect to the Role

As a part of the wider Ellel Ministries team, you will participate in daily team prayer and worship meetings and be encouraged to participate in sharing a short devotional message with the team or guests on a rota basis. We will also give you opportunities to grow in your Christian faith through scheduled attendance on Ellel teaching courses and by being around like-minded people who want to serve the Lord. In your own time there are many further opportunities to receive Ellel’s teaching and be involved with the heart of what we are doing.

Remuneration

The job is initially offered on a part-time basis of 20 hours a week and may be combined with either a finance, bookings, or house assistant role to make up a full-time post of 40 hours a week, which will include weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis.

This vacancy is a live-in position with full board accommodation (private bedroom and shared kitchen, bathrooms and living areas) along with an appropriate allowance to cover personal expenses.

Please note that we are unable to sponsor a visa for this post. Therefore, applicants should be UK or EU nationals who can prove their eligibility to work in the UK.
